Patrick D. Caffrey worked as a psychologist specializing in rehabilitation psychology and neuropsychology for 46 years. He writes from the unique vantage point of a practitioner with a disability as a result of a 1972 cervical spinal cord injury from high school wrestling.

Patrick was raised in Kansas City with his seven brothers by Irish Catholic parents. He currently resides with his wife in Olathe, Kansas.
